For the coming school year 2007-2008, Muslim students will again vie for additional 30 slots in the CMM Scholarship Grant. This is apart from the 30 existing slots currently enjoyed by students who made it in the previous year’s scholarship examinations.
This increases the entire CMM scholarship program to 60 slots. Current scholars who maintained the required grades of 85% need not take the exams except those who graduated last March to qualify for the next level. At present, the different levels are Elementary, High School, and College.
“CMM recognizes the importance of Education as enjoined among us Muslims in the Holy Qur’an,” said CMM President Comm. Taha M. Basman. “We want our youth to seek excellence in their endeavors that’s why we are encouraging them to study well through this scholarship program,” he further added. Aside from the CMM offices in Metro Manila, CMM centers in Davao, Zamboanga, and Marawi will also administer the qualifying exams simultaneously scheduled on June 9, 2007 to ensure fairness in all the 4 testing centers. CMM Officials will travel to the different CMM Regional Centers to supervise the exams. Passers will enjoy Free Tuition Fees and/or Monthly Stipends.
