The trainees of the TESDA-MRI joint livelihood program have successfully completed the 70-hour requirement for the Practical Cellular Phone Servicing Course.   In simple ceremonies held at the CMM Computer Laboratory in Maharlika Elementary School in Taguig, trainees received their certificates of completion from CMM-MRI President Commissioner Taha Basman and  Mr. Ricky Dumagpi of TESDA.  Mr. Ronald Racelis, the course instructor, presented the graduates to the two officials who shared words of encouragement to the graduates.

This is the fifth of a series of courses contained in a Memorandum of Agreement signed between TESDA and MRI that includes a Madrasah component in its curriculum, thereby combining skills with values education.   This is also the first time that such training was held in Maharlika Village, in answer to the noble objective of both TESDA and MRI in bringing education accessible to the community where it is needed.

In a round table discussion with newly-appointed TESDA Director of MuntiParLasTaPAt District, Dir. Angela E. Gabriel and MRI Executive Director Ms. Ann Basman agreed that peace and development can be attained through the provision of opportunities to everyone regardless of faith and creed.  Hence, more trainings will be made available to Muslims not only in Taguig but also other parts of the country.
