The Chinese Organization, Caloocan Filipino-Chinese Charity Foundation, conducted a medical and dental mission at Maharlika Village Medium Rise Condominium last February 1, 2004. A total of 1,042 patients were given free medical and dental check-ups with free medicines given to the patients. Aside from that, acupuncture sessions were given free to those who sought this kind of therapy. This was handled by Dr. Tan Chiu-Chiong, a neurologist whose expertise covers acupuncture therapy.
Dr. Tan is a well-loved Chinese doctor who has a special heart for Muslims. He is very interested in learning Islam owing to the number of Muslim patients seeking his expertise.
